Of course, whilst network theory has moved from being edgy or fashionable to just kind of a ‘given’ now, it’s still nice to see the concept being communicated as well as this.

I find the section towards the end, when talk moves to that of the ‘rennaisance man’ and the polymath, extremely comforting in that it gives me hope that my ridiculously diverse range of interests are actually valuable, as opposed to having all the utlity of the scraps of blue material in a bower birds nest.

I mean just a few things off the top of my head that totally fascinate me, Networks as applied to: neurons and neuronal networks, AI and learning systems, data management theory, Big Data, social networks and how social Psychology plays out in this domain, classification systems and taxonomies, representing the n-dimensional spaces that networks exist in visually, etc…
All… good… stuff…
